Message from the Principal:
As we welcome the arrival of spring, the longer days and warmer weather we hope a renewed sense of energy and excitement will occur among students. This time of year, naturally draws students outdoors, and it’s wonderful to see them enjoying the sunshine after the winter months. At the same time, spring can also present challenges when it comes to maintaining strong attendance, staying focused on schoolwork, and arriving on time each morning.
I want to encourage all students to continue prioritizing their learning as we move through the warm months of semester two. Consistent attendance and punctuality remain essential to academic success, and staying engaged in daily classwork and study routines will help ensure a strong finish to the school year. Teachers are continuing to introduce new material, prepare students for culminating tasks, and support them in building the skills they need for future pathways.
Spring is a season of growth, and it offers a great opportunity for students to set goals, stay organized, and make the most of the learning experiences ahead. With commitment and focus, this can be a rewarding and productive time for everyone at Nantyr.
Thank you for your continued support and enjoy the brighter days ahead.
Sincerely,
Brian MacIsaac
Principal, Nantyr Shores Secondary School

Boys Varsity Hockey
The boys won Georgian Bays for the third straight year in a row and competed at OFSAA for the second year in a row. After placing fourth last year, the boys followed it up this year with a silver medal. As a coach you ask your players to leave it all on the ice and they did! Congrats fellas on a fantastic season.
Bathroom Use
To help keep our washrooms safe, clean, and accessible for everyone, we ask that students follow these expectations:
•One student per stall at all times
•Please exit the washroom promptly after use and handwashing
•No socializing or eating in the washrooms
Thank you for having this conversation with your student to ensure that all students have equal access to shared facilities.
Nantyr Wrestling
In March, Nantyr’s Wrestling team sent 6 competitors to OFSAA. This was our largest team to ever go to this event and while there they demonstrated we deserved to compete with the best of the best from across the province. All members of the team had some of their best matches of the year. Once again Elora earned herself a gold medal. This is her third gold at this event and is an amazing accomplishment at this level of competition. Congratulations to the whole team. Coaches Henderson and Cruise are proud of each and every wrestler and looking forward to next season.
