Dear Nantyr Shores Students, Parents, and Guardians,
As we approach the holiday season beginning on December 22nd, I want to extend warm wishes to all of you for a joyful and restful break. This time of year is an opportunity to reflect, recharge, and celebrate with family and friends. On behalf of the entire Nantyr Shores staff, thank you for your continued support and partnership in fostering a positive and successful learning environment.
As we count down to the holidays, I’d like to remind everyone of the importance of consistent attendance right up until the start of the break. Every day matters, and staying engaged in classes ensures students finish this part of the semester strong and prepared for what’s ahead. Upon return after the holidays on January 5th students will continue with classes leading up to course culminating task days scheduled from January 21-26.
If your child will be absent for any reason, please communicate with our attendance office at [email protected]. Your cooperation helps us maintain accurate records and support student success.
Wishing you all a safe, happy holiday season and a prosperous New Year. We look forward to continued growth in our students, preparing them for new opportunities and success in 2026.

DECA Business Club:
Congratulations to our nine DECA (Business Club) students who have qualified for the Provincial Competition in Toronto! After months of hard work—completing online exams and in-person case studies - they’ve earned this achievement. We’re proud of their dedication and wish them the best of luck at Provincials!
Hindu Heritage Month:
Hindu Heritage month honors the traditions, values, and contributions of Hindus to society, while promoting awareness and appreciation of Hindu culture and philosophy.
Honouring our Fallen Soldiers
During the month of October and into November Ms. Taylor’s senior art class was busy working on a special project for the community. A memorial book of Innisfil’s fallen soldiers was designed so that at every Remembrance Day ceremony names of our fallen soldiers could be shared out loud and honoured. The book consists of 40 pages, each page uniquely painted by a student. There are also several poems written especially for the book by some of Ms. Middleton’s Writer’s Club. The book was used at this year’s Belle Ewart’s ceremony and also at the Barrie Remembrance Day ceremony. Veterans and families of the fallen soldiers expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the book. It was such an honour for my students to be part of this meaningful project that will be cherished for years to come as we remember the courage and bravery of our community's fallen soldiers. A copy of the book will be kept at the Legion, and a second copy was created to keep at Nantyr Shores School so it could be used every year at our Remembrance Day assemblies.
Nantyr Art Students Spreading Holiday Cheer!:
Nantyr Art Students are excited to share their one of a kind holiday cheer cards with our community members living in local retirement homes. We made over 150 cards!
Every year the Senior Wish Association approaches us to help out, and our students always look forward to it. Each card is a special reminder that we are thinking of them, and we hope it brings a smile to their face and warms their heart. From the art students and art teachers at Nantyr Shores School, we wish you and your families a happy and joyous holiday season!
